Spirit Filled Living

Bible Study

Thursdays @ 1:00pm

Meeting Room 1

Led by Rev. Jim Webb

This is a Drop-In Class: so each meeting is different and new.  No worries if you have not come before or skipped a few weeks! Just come! Please be sure to check the Calendar to see if the group is meeting that week!

Jude

While often overlooked, the book of Jude remains as relevant today as the time it was written. God has commanded His beloved church to do the necessary work of contending for the faith in a world of unbelief, and as we do, He will keep us from falling into the same deception.

In this study from Jackie Hill Perry, dive into themes of being called, loved, and kept, and learn how to point others to Jesus in grace and truth. We serve others well when we share the whole gospel with them, not just the parts deemed attractive by our culture.

Women's Tuesday Night Bible Study

Tuesdays @ 6:30pm

Room 117

Led by Rev. Tracee Hackel & Terry Shores

This class takes place at the same time as our Men's Bible Study group.

We will be learning what it means to: “be at peace in a world of anger and anxiety; completely trust the character and promises of God; and live each day with a joyful, simple faith.” from Brant Hansen’s book Life is Hard. God is Good. Let’s Dance.: Experiencing Real Joy in a World Gone Mad.

About the Book:

In Life Is Hard, God Is Good, Let's Dance, Brant is at his best—sharing stories from around the world, as well as from his own heart and head, with a writing style that will likely make you laugh, cry, and rethink your outlook on life and the kingdom of God. Through his unique life experiences and extensive travels, you will see how God is moving through people all over the world and learn to:

  • Retrain how you think about joy and be mindful of its positive impact in your life

  • See that it's possible to live joyfully in a world of anger and anxiety

  • Completely trust the character and promises of God

  • Claim the abundant life mentioned in John 10:10

  • Live each day simply and with contagious faith and joy

We will read about 30 pages a week (4-5 essays, remember Brant is very easy to read and has great stories). A Scripture passage and questions for discussion, that corresponds with your reading.  As usual, homework is not required for you to participate, neither is dancing, however it is encouraged.

Men's Tuesday Night Bible Study

Tuesdays @ 6:30pm

Room 112

Led by Pastor Larry Shores & Rev. Jim Webb

This class takes place at the same time as our Women's Bible Study group.

Discover the peace, purpose, and connection your heart longs for. Join us as we dive into The Sacred Romance: Coming Home to the God Who Pursues Your Heart, a study that invites you to slow down, ask honest questions, and reconnect with the God who lovingly seeks you.

If you’ve ever felt busy, empty, restless, or simply aware that something is missing, this study will help you explore why—and where God is leading you. Together we’ll look at the deeper desires of the heart, the wounds that shape us, and the invitation God offers to step into a life of intimacy, adventure, and renewal.

Come join the journey and rediscover the God who pursues you with unfailing love.
