About the event
Women's Tuesday Night Bible Study Colossians Led by Pastor Tracee Hackel TUESDAYS 7:00 - 8:30pm Meets in Meeting Room 1
If you are feeling tempted, tired, or otherwise overwhelmed with the cares and concerns of this world, you may need to be reminded to lift your eyes from your circumstances and focus them upon Christ. That is precisely what the apostle Paul does in the book of Colossians. He lifts our gaze from our present circumstances to see Christ in all of his glory. Christ is the pearl of great value, the hidden treasure who is worth selling all to receive. Colossians presents this glorious picture to remind us that this world is not our home.
Why study the Bible? How can I study the Bible and learn from it? The Bible is not just for theologians and scholars. Rather, it is God’s Word in plain language intended for everyone. Together, we will explore the importance of Bible study and its relevance to everyday life. Far from being a stuffy or boring book, the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, helpful in building us up so that we may serve, love, and glorify God and His Son, Jesus Christ, as we are intended to do. Pastor Tracee will help to guide us through learning different methods that will help us in our study!
All you need to bring to class is your Bible, a pen, and an open heart! A notebook will be provided!
(If you are in need of a Bible, please reach out at our first class and we will provide one free of charge!)
This class runs alongside the Men's Bible Study on Tuesday nights.
