ANTIOCH PARTNERS

Rev. Joey Chang

The Rev. Joey Chang, Heea, Lydia, & Maria Chang.  God called them to Kake, Alaska.

Challenges include:

1. Getting local Native Americans to know Christ and the Gospel

2. Alcohol & Drug Abuse as well as Domestic Violence

Ministries include:

1. "Peace of Kake" Soup Kitchen

2. "Good News Club" & "Youth Cafe" for young children and teenagers.

3. Train Young Adults to become Pastors and Missionaries

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance

1.  Focuses on the long term recovery of disaster impacted communities.

2.  Provides training and disaster preparedness for presbyteries and synods.

3.Connects partners locally and internationally with key organizations active in the response — United Nations, NVOAD (National Voluntary Agencies Active in Disaster), World Food Program, Red Cross, FEMA and others.

4.Connects partners with United Methodist Committee on Relief, Catholic Charities, Fuller Center, and local disaster coordinators for work sites, accommodations and food.

Hope Now for Youth

Hope Now For Youth provides opportunities and support for young men caught up in gangs who want to change their lives and become productive, responsible and law-abiding parents and citizens. Hope Now accomplishes this by providing:

•A caring relationship which builds self-worth and confidence.

•Models of Christian values and work ethic which inspire productive citizenship.

•Preparation for and placement in a job as an achievable economic alternative to gang crime and violence.

•Scholarships which encourage further education.

•Training of families in healthy relationships.
