Children's Ministries

We find it our greatest joy to introduce children to worship,  Sunday School, mission, and service opportunities, and walk with them as they develop a love for Christ, a knowledge of who they are as a beloved child of God, and an understanding of where they fit into the body of Christ.

412 Students
4th - 8th grade students
Sundays 4:00 - 5:00pm

We are introducing to you a preteen ministry called “412 Students” based on the scripture verse of 1 Timothy 4:12, “Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”

412 Students is a bridge to ease the transition out of childlike faith into a more personal and developed faith students can call their own.  Preteens are physically, intellectually, and emotionally different than lower-elementary or high school students. They are between childhood and adolescence. 412 Students allows us to cater a ministry to the specific needs and abilities of our pre-teen students in fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eigth grades.

Kimberly Caldwell and Christy Smith are teaming up to teach 412 Students.  It is a time that they can call uniquely theirs.  A time of energetic, interactive game play to encourage them, Bible teachings to challenge them, fellowship to support them, and fun to entertain them!

412 Students will be presented with unique opportunities to learn, grown, and serve.  There will be times when the group will be divided.  6th and 7th grade students will be able to attend the winter retreat – Snowbound.  Snowbound will take place January 21-23, 2022, at Crooked Creek Young Life Camp in Fraser, Colorado. (This is all dependent on COVID and guidelines and regulations).  This is a camp in which 500 students and adult chaperones come to learn more about a relationship with Jesus, worship, play, eat, and more.  It is a highlight that students look forward to. That same weekend the 4th and 5th grade Students will participate in the first ever 412 Mini Retreat here at MVPC which will include fun, games, service, and study.  Students will get to invite their friends to come as well.
